Occasionally you just want to indulge. My weak spot is Chinese buffets. Most are pretty bad: Overcooked entrees in indistinguishable sauces, dry appetizers, serving dishes left empty, etc. This one is different and easily the best in the area. They usually have around 8 – 10 appetizers and 6 entrees, as well as fried & white rice and a lo mein.
Last time I went they had a delicious crispy pad thai. While they will have the basic entrees (e.g., General Tso’s chicken), they usually have one or two unique dishes. I’ve had clams in black bean sauce and an otherworldly chicken with sliced jalepeno peppers there. Every entree is dinner quality. The place also has a sushi bar, and a nice selection is available as part of the buffet. Not just cucumber and California rolls, but unique offerings with raw tuna and salmon. I can’t comment on the deserts because I am too stuffed to ever have any.
The place is divided into 3 sections and seems to be less noisy than most. Empty buffet serving dishes are promptly replenished and your place is kept clean of dirty dishes, so service has to be rated A+.B.D.
